OUR STORY
Lundy’s was established on April 1st, 1965, by Charles and Carole Lundrigan. Two twenty-one-year-old kids with a shoestring budget and a drive to build a reputation based on hard work and quality craftsmanship. It was a humble beginning, to say the least. Working out of a small two-car garage on the Lynnway in Lynn, MA., Lundy’s Company was born. For over 30 years, Charles worked long hours in developing, building, and managing a local wrought iron business. He fabricated wrought iron railings, gates and fences for architects, landscape designers and private clients.
THE MERGE
Their daughter, Kristin, always had an interest in the beautiful ironwork her father fabricated and a passion for interior design. In her twenties, she decided to partner with her parents to bring his quality ironwork to the forefront. They expanded the business and opened a small shop on Main Street in Wenham, MA. The shop was filled with wrought iron for the home and garden, including iron tables, trellises, fireplace screens, and lighting. A beautiful iron fence with a variety of hand-forged pickets was also on display. In 1993, an interior decorator came into the shop and asked a simple question. Do you fabricate iron drapery hardware? Kristin looked sideways at the iron fence display and replied YES! The rest lies in The Growth and The Journey.
A NEW IDEA TAKES SHAPE
Drapery hardware set the way for a new direction. Charles and Kristin exhibited in regional and international tradeshows across the country with a line of iron drapery hardware. The hardware line expanded to include hundreds of finials, French rods, custom designs, stainless, and brass. The nationwide response was remarkable from the beginning. They purchased a 25,000-square-foot state-of-the-art facility allowing them to expand and grow. They now offer a full-color hardware catalog, in-house powder coating, sandblasting, plasma cutting, CNC machining, and polishing services.
EVOLVING
“We grew and you all tested the boundaries of what was possible”. Their business has evolved over time, and they embraced the inevitable twist and turns. They reached milestones and modified plans. Their hard work and perseverance, along with their customer's creativity, direction, and collaboration, are the reason for their success.

Looking at how far we’ve come over the last 57 years, it’s been a great journey. Lundy’s has evolved into what it is today through our dedicated employees, both past and present. Our employees are talented, experienced, proud, and passionate. Each goes above and beyond to see the company succeed and to make our customers happy. The wealth of experience and knowledge play a critical role in our longevity. We are fortunate to have a great team.
